Sorry to hear that, hope he makes a speedy recovery.
However we cannot be a slave to the weather. I work for the local council and have spent the week driving around checking road conditions and diverting equipment where most needed. If the police, ambulance and Fire service workers for instance didnt turn out for work where would we be.
Again best wishes to your brother but remember it was an accident and accidents happen we all need to be extra carefull but not scared.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother, ive just come out of 3 weeks in hospital (with 2 weeks bed rest) and i was climbing the walls with bordem & routine, I can only ask that you visit him as often as possible to keep him sane! don't worry though i'm sure he will be out in no time, is there any lasting damage or will he make a full recovery? tell him not to worry about emptying his bowls, talking to the other people in the hospital and from experiance, most people need help in the form of laxatives or enama's the first time, and bed pans arent that bad, you get used to them after a while,
In fact it might be a good idea to take your brother some baby wipes, he will appreciate them,
Luke
