Tidal Surge Wading in Hull

I'm sure most people heard about the tidal surge that caused flooding all along the east coast last Thursday. I gave a couple of mates a ride home as they lived in one of the flooded areas. Had problems with my phone so it's taken me this long to get the video on YouTube.

This wasn't the deepest part, but I wanted to save my phone battery so we stopped recording. When we eventually stopped I had a look underneath and there was a water line across the diff housing about an inch below the breather so we ran it close but not too close.

Got to say, I was impressed. I took it easy because I didn't want to splash any electrics but the old girl went through it like is was nothing, and it was about a foot deep in places.

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Guy in the van was going for it

I bombed through a big puddle once in a old van with a mate
Turned out it was sewage from the village up the hill
It was far more brown than I expected . . .

I had the heating on at the time :vomit: :vomit:

You should see the bottom of my van!

Gets a good drenching of raw primary sludge every now and again.

Based out of Newbury but cover quite an area.

Electrical maintenance with a bit of mechanical work when required. Cover all the pump stations in the area too.
