SuperFlow compressor
Looking out for a little 12v compressor, one that can be mounted in the cab and the proper fittings for a quick release valve etc, not these crappy halfords tyre inflator jobbies. Came across SuperFlow compressors which seem to be just what im after, however a quick look on ebay have them ranging from £20 through to the £100+. anyone had an experience with these? know a decent model, or a suitable yet affordable alternative?

Re: SuperFlow compressor
Something like that might come in handy - you could lower your tyre pressure to, say, 15psi for offroading, then back to 30+ for driving on the road...
I know nothing about compressors (12v, 240v or otherwise) so I'm interested to see what comes of this thread!

Re: SuperFlow compressor
Do we know what sort of pressure is required from a compressor to run air tools, like a windy gun and the such like? Might be nice to be able to bring a few compressor tools for those distant off road ventures in case of that inevitable breaking of something!

Scottie - Barmy, off my face insane, mate - you know that!!!
10 seems a little low, wouldn't you risk having a tyre pop off the bead? I know beadlocker guys run *really* low, but I don't have beadlockers...
Tim - I really doubt that one of these things will run air tools - maybe if you added a tank? I don't know much about air tools though.
Might be a better bet to bring a set of 24v tools, and install a high capacity 12-24v step-up in the zuk.

I've ran my 31s at 6psi fine. 20-25 on the road.

Haha would be perfect, ive already got a mini tv screen in there, half way round a pay n play site with a cold beer and a film without leaving the truck, champion. Throw a 12v pop corn maker in there too and got my own private off road bar/cinema!Jordi wrote:I think a fridge would be a.better.investment.

Re: SuperFlow compressor
I run my tyres at 27psi for long journeys... saves a bit of fuel, even if it makes the ride obnoxious!!!

Re: SuperFlow compressor
And I run 22psi all the time.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
