best solution to faulty caliper

guys,

My Sammy pulls towards the curb when I brake, I have tried to clean up the caliper & piston as best as I can without actually taking it to pieces.

I still have the same issue, it does brake on the faulty side but no where near enough force.

So what would you do (trying to keep the cost down BTW) -

- get a service kit and re-build it (not what I would choose, but happy to attempt if you guys recommend it)
-buy a second hand caliper and hope it works
- buy a new caliper £££

Strip it clean it and re-grease it.
When I had a similar problem it turned out the slider pin had worn the hole it runs in so it wasn't sliding back to release the pads. So I had to get a replacement calliper

If the clean and regrease doesn't sort it, then hunt for some other callipers. Bear in mind that Spanish and jap callipers are different

yes I have done the same, stripped it without fully taking it apart and cleaned & regreased the sliders but this doesnt seem to have worked, looks like a new or second hand caliper - not sure where to go about getting one, where did you have yours from? was it expensive?

A rebuild isn't as daunting as it sounds. New callipers are loads of ££££ I had a set off someone that was breaking a truck, think I paid around £40 for a set. But with 2nd hand there's no guarantee they'l be any better than you've already got etc

For example One of the bleed nipples snapped on the replacement set I got.
