I dont think you need to take them apart. I'm sure you can just push them on in one piece. although you may need to lube them up a bit first.

The bushes are shaped to go one each side, otherwise the shock would just bounce around everywhere lol I've had the bottom of the shocks unbolted before to so the springs, and that's how they seem to fit but I can't separate the new ones to be able to do that :/ will have a look tomorrow though and try your method out and see if I can force them in haha..

I would expect you have to force/press them in with out the sleeve in, then press the sleeve back in.
A vice would be easiest for this.
Washing up liquid is a good lube for outside the bushes as it will soon dry up.
Did they give you a sachet of grease for between the sleeves and bushes.

well ive looked closely at them now and one of the bushes seem to be a bit loose but the other is fixed solid to the sleeve, so i thing the lose one with pull of carefully with some pliers, i have a vice and they didnt come with any grease, whats the best grease to use? ive got some copper grease and some normal grease to use for things like clutch cable etc...

I received some of these yesterday remove the sleeves they ALL slide out, and press them in a vice square, then tap them on the side to get them to even out, I used WD-40.

I think I have just used a G-clamp in the past to squash them in...
