Sounds a bit like Lizard Lick Towing. I'm not going to lie, I like watching it, but I'm 99% sure it's staged, or they're really bad reconstructions or something.

most of these yank programs seem to be staged more and more.
american hot rod was a good example, always short of funds to order paint and parts for $100,000 hot rod projects.
if i was a customer it would put me off buying one! let alone the arguing.
i now watch them with the sound off and just see the cars and scenery.

i think its quite funny actually:)
my favorite was fixing a HT lead. They cut it in half and stuck it back together with a hose pipe and a length of wood in between. i think it would have worked just as well without the wood, lol. proof of concept i guess.
