for about £2500 u can have a brand new body for a sj lwb or swb im very tempted to save up and put a aluminium body on a sj !

It'd be great for a while, but after a few years anywhere that there are two different metals in contact with each other you'd start to get nasty corrosion. That's why Land Rovers are such rot-boxes.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

agree with Edd, Ali corrosion is not nice and its impossible to get a decent earth at times.
