rascal rears lift question.

Post by duncslow » Wed Sep 04, 2013 3:17 pm

How much lift do rascal rear springs give on a 410. looking at fitting them on the back and buying new front springs to match cause I have the rascal rears and trying to keep to some sort of budget. I have looked at rears up front and its a lot of fabrication to make them work and I dont like the way the helper spring sticks out. I am hoping for a bolt on/easiest way of getting a bit more lift to save the underneath of the car.
Regards Chris

I think it's about 1.5 to 2 inches.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

You could always fab up a RUF kit and mix and match the spring pack removing the helper spring.

Being a 410 it's pretty easy to make an ruf set up.

Plus you should remove the helper spring when you do it anyway as it serves no purpose on the front.

Just rob Scotties bolt on front YJ design. Be easy to make that work for RUF.

Will need to be done differently to work with SJ width springs but I could maybe knock something up.
