a question for the southern people
Where does everyone get there sheet steel from, as found some tin worm wholes that need plugging up.
And as usual don't have any when i need some.

Re: a question for the southern people
Being a "Northerner" I'm not really being asked this, I've just butted in.
If it's just bits and pieces you want, look up a local fabrication shop, they generally give you off cuts from the scrap bin, or just charge you a token amount.
They will probably cut you specific things too if you wanted, and at a good rate.
Always worth asking.

Re: a question for the southern people
I get mine from a place called Devizes Steel Supplies as they're about 10min away from me but unfortunately quite a way from you.
Pretty much any steel yard / fabricator / engineering shop should be able to supply you what you need I would think?

Re: a question for the southern people
If i'm wanting decent steel i buy from a local steel stockholder. For smaller odd n sods i ask about for scraps at local engineers / machine shops.
If you catch them on a good day it can be for nothing.

Well i'm really after a 8"x4" sheet of 1mm/1.2mm, as i am going to need a fair bit for the unimog that i've got to sort out too.
But just wanted to see if there was anywhere that some of you guys go/recommend.
