Either way hope all goes well
Thats exactly where its cracked. Right on the casting that sticks out that has the thread for the head bolt in it. I guesstimate it has cracked exactly in line with the bottom of the head bolt.

Must be a common fault cause ive seen some 1.6 engines suffer from it aswell. At first I thought it was the inlet manifold gasket leaking or rather hoped it was until I got my head under but the k seal worked a treat fingers crossed eh

gp7186,

It is a 1600.

Steve,

I just got under it tonight to give it a once over and noticed the front diff and sump were soaked in coolant.

Strange thing is that it is so fine a crack it only leaks when under pressure but there is no sign of it having happened while I was moving as it is just a stain from it flowing with gravity (no wind) so I can only assume it cracked as it was cooling after the last time I used it but while the cooling system was still hot enough to be under pressure.

The postcode for Wagtail is on the first post.
