mot'd at last!

Post by stevepsj413 » Fri Aug 02, 2013 6:32 pm

Finally passed my mot yesterday, well happy, had to lower my emissions by fitting a new engine, it was my last option, top end was kaput on the old 1, new engine and it went thru, 2 advisories, the first being rust on body and the second was "vehicle is heavily undersealed"! Took it out yesterday and got it nearly vertical, ill have to get sum photos n put them on here, runs good but runs hot, temp gauge is rite up but it doesn't miss a beat, its full of coolant tho with no leaks or air locks, any ideas wot this could be, dodgy gauge, blocked heater matrix, faulty thermostat, or could it be like my mate says and just a "warm engine"?

Nice one :doublethumbs:

Try using the temp sender off the original engine. Some of them have different resistances.
