Lots of vehicles are like that, at least it's only the sender, you can still drive without that. a lot of rangerover classics don't have an access hole either, I strategically cut a hole in my mates rangerover boot floor so that we could change the fuel pump without dropping the tank :lol:
It's a shame Suzuki's don't have that. I think later RR-classics do. Certainly Discovery 1s and RR-P38s do have removable panels in the boot floor for getting at the pump-sender unit.
Yeah with disco one its the whole rear floor that comes out, There is a special name for it , its called rot

The Problem is that It's down to the Testers discretion and interpretation of the wording in the manual, they can argue that any modification is inappropriate as it's not how it left the factory (if they know) and the "excessive heat" has been applied during welding argument, but in order to see this it would have to be left un-painted. Obviously if you have done it in a way that it doesn't 'look' modified you should be fine.

I'm sure you'll be fine though, my steering links aren't standard ;) :lol:
