sj steering damper to fit on vitara pitman arm?
Has anyone done the vitara pas conversion and re-connected there sj steering damper to the vitara pitman arm? just curious to see what if anything people have made to do this? cheers

If you have pas you don't need a steering damper?

Tbh the standard SJ steering damper isn't fantastic when you put big wheels on, a lot of people run the heavy duty option instead which clamps to your axle and drag rod, the heavy duty option is this...

Although I have a pro comp one which is exactly the same,
In most cases though when a PAS conversion is carried out the damper is ditched anyway as the PAS is enough to keep the steering from wobbling

It is I agree but I have noticed the difference when driving over bumps potholes etc so really I would prefer it back on I'm sure someone has done it before?

I modified a procomp steering damper and fitted a rose joint, keeps the damper up high out of the way of damage as well. I don't really like those mounting kits that clamp to the axle, the steering damper looks too vulnerable to damage being mounted down there.
