Re: my little project
Mine was 0.18 on emissions. Just tested it for fun. The limit on those young enough to be tested is 3.50 i think.

Good point however its an M-Reg - wouldn't that have been EFI? in which case it will need to pass a cat test, if so then that would explain why its well over on hc. A carb model would only need to pass CO and visible smoke.

2.5 instead of 3.5. Still perfectly achievable with the Webber.

Re: my little project
Checking the MOT manual it looks like it just squeezes into the non-cat test (up to 31 July 1995) which is 3.5% CO and 1200ppm HC

Re: my little project
yeah i got an old mot here, it says co2 max limit is 3.50% and h/c max is 1200ppm so do you reckon if i put a cat in my exhaust it would be enough to bring the emissions down, i dont know exactly how high they were he just said the words "through the roof"....!? any ideas
Re: my little project
They should have a printout at the garage of the readings.

Re: my little project
fitting a cat i would say to get it affective you probably would have to start running lamba sensors maybe.. i would invest in service and tune up of the carb and try again.
