Anyway.... we need plans.

It makes little to no difference what order we do things.

Saturday we start close to mine and head West on either the Ridgeway or Salisbury Plain to go to Scotties/The campsite.

Sunday we do the opposite or whichever we haven't driven.

Either way this is bad for Scottie due to driving to meet.

Or the fair option is that we meet in the middle Saturday, do a big loop and end at Corsham, then Sunday do a similar thing but taking in different scenery and finishing in the middle again.

Bath stoned was mined!

"Bath Stone is an Oolitic Limestone comprising granular fragments of calcium carbonate. Originally obtained from the Combe Down and Bathampton Down Mines under Combe Down, Somerset, England"

Thanks Wikipedia
There are mines in the area. Box Freestone Quarry is a Quarry though :D
More Wikipedia wrote: A quarry is a type of open-pit mine from which rock or minerals are extracted. Quarries are generally used for extracting building materials, such as dimension stone, construction aggregate, riprap, sand, and gravel. They are often collocated with concrete and asphalt plants due to the requirement for large amounts of aggregate in those materials. Open mines that produce minerals are typically referred to as open pit mines.

The word quarry can include underground quarrying for stone, such as Bath stone.

:rockin:

Oh and to save on campsite fees we could come back to corsham either by taxis or a drunken walk  head to matty's for a few more drinks (he's coming out with us in his hilux) and a few people can crash at ours and Dan and Helen could crash at Matty's.

What do you guys think?

Erm, i'm just gonna turn up at dans and go with the flow.

I have no idea where any of the lanes are or where they go so can't really comment on the best / easiest way to do things.

There is no easy way for everyone. We normally just meet in the middle.

Helen wants to come out for only one day but thats a bit of a pain when heading to a different destination.

Presume Karis is coming out Scottie?

Might drop her Zook at yours on Friday night so she can get home on Sunday or something.

6 definates with Matty. 8 if Adam and Andy make it. Plus Helen & Karis.

I would say we have enough for a laugh. I'll be checking in with Andy on thursday see how he's getting on.
