The booming :argh: fan belt fell of on my sj at dinner time not sure where it is naw but went to Tesco for dinner then on the way back the warning light and the battery light came on so I pulled in and then noticed shit that's the fan belt gone in needed replacing last week but I forgot.

Lucky as motor parts direct was only like 2 miles away so it took me nearly 40 mins to get to it as i didnt want it to cook my engine

All fixed and roaring to go

It's only when you are sat still with the engine running that you need to worry about the engine getting hot if you have no fan, as long as you are driving along at 20-30mph there will be plenty of airflow through the rad for cooling so just watch the temp gauge and turn the engien off when stationary ;) not that it matters now but for future reference.

electric fan is a pretty good mod in my opinion. ive got mine on a switch so I can turn it off when going through water.
thankfully I watch the temp gauge like a hawk so I dont forget to turn it on!
pickle power!

Ouch! I'm sure with a bit of work you'll be able to pull that out pretty well.

Fairly sure it will cook itself when driving Scott. Not so much a fan / cool air issue more a no water pump issue.

Short journey would be fine but i wouldn't be running it very far or for very long.

Shame about the dent! A dent is like a scratch but with a better story.
