Sorry for taking the piss mike.

i have just had an idea why dont you put it back to lightly modified and use it on the road and have it like scotties for example thats medium modifed. I dont know just it seems you are fed up with pumping money into if i was you take it back to near stock with nice set of off roaders not too big and keep it looking cool but without having to spend thousands that you will never get back.

Just ignore it as i dont really know anything but it was just and idea.

Hold the phone !!

I didn't say I was selling it !! Fuck that !!

It may just be a while before I can afford to fix it. I have a plan nobody panic.

And Paul doesn't need to sell his, he never gets the time to use it so its better that its sold or broken.

Il sort this out, just need to earn some money and build a new axle up

Balls.

I noticed the axle looking a bit bent in the driveway photo when you posted it but as there wasnt a explanantion I thought it was just the camera distorting the image.

Guess the cracking of the diff side gears is what killed the shafts and the bent axle killed the CVs?

Just build it stronger and fit stronger parts!

Feel for you. Not fun having a broken truck sat there!

 thats the spirit Mike! Mines not getting sold either, just had a bad few days involving SJs and wanted a fresh start with another SJ build.

Medium modified Ollie? I've not got anything left to modify  Guess you've not read my build thread in full, Both have just been built differently and mines been kept road legal and a bit more subtle on the outside

What's the plan then Mike? You gonna stick with SJ axles?

Not really sure.

Save up and buy another set of shafts, the new type are 33 spline cv end instead of 28 spline, 20% stronger so they say. Buy another locker, I am also tempted to lower the diff ratio with a set of hardened Yukon ring and pinions. Or trail gear ones.

Solid collar conversion in the pinion, truss the axle like the rear, if not more. I have the knuckle stregtherners as well to weld on, top and bottom. I have new spoa saddles to from America.

See how it goes, need to save up the money first lol.

Mike
