Sid James gone but never forgotten

Re: Scottie's longwheelbase Sammy
That settles that then! might cut down the old GV axle so that is ends up samurai width
Best get cracking with the swb so I can start work, probably should have decided this ages ago instead of trying to track down some good panels for it would probably be pretty much done by now!

Re: Scottie's longwheelbase Sammy
The weldathon is starting soon!
Had an orthopaedic appointment this morn about my knee, finally they have decided to operate on it after 5 years of ACL problems so had the rest of the day to start making some repair patches.
The rear inner arches are going to be cut out once these panels are welded in and I'm going to build new inner wings like I did on the blue SJ.
I'm keeping the Lwb super simple.
1.3
Enough virtual lift for 33s
Rocklobster Tbox
Longer shocks
RUF, 30mm longer shackles on the rear
Bucket seats
Bumpers with recovery points front and rear
Small rocksliders.

Re: Scottie's longwheelbase Sammy
Sounds like a super plan. Hope its got a good 1.3, even with the lobster i think it might be a bit under powered.
Have you not got an old set of lifted rear spring you could fit? 30mm extended shackles sounds a bit extreme.
