Sounds like it would be ok to me.
I would just look for caravans thats are as light as possible.

Re: Towing a caravan with an SJ410?
I towed a caravan a few times in the late 80s with my '87 SJ - all is fine until the slightest gradient when all power is sapped from the Suzuki. I could have walked up some of hills faster when I was in Wales. I took a caravan across to France in 1990 on the back of my '89 Vitara and that wasn't really that much better.
Towing a caravan at the best of times is a ball ache that is only more painful when the tow vehicle is under powered to start with. Drive the SJ to the airport and get on a plane somewhere hot...now that is soooo much more appealing!!!

Think of it as the SCUK mobile catering and washing facility Tom. Saves us cooking fry up in a pan on a camping stove on the floor.turbo-tom wrote:Jay get a tent mate so much easier! and its proper camping!
Also with a caravan you have to put insurance ontop of it etc
I also forgot to mention caravans are a scurge on the roads. They wobble all over, go too slow, crash a lot. I say tent it, if the missus doesn' like it could always swap her for another? just a suggestion

How about hitting the middle ground... trailer tent, my friend was a big tent fan until he got his trailer tent now he swears by it, its nice to know your going to have a comfy bed regardless of the field! And I imagine they weigh a lot less than a tent
