this is kind of suzuki related because i cant get on with my anus untill ive sorted this stupid effing mini!!!!

Car was funning fine.

its on twin hif38 su's

took off the inlet manifold to tighten up a compression fitting on the bottom of one of the carb reservoirs.

leak stopped so put the manifold back on and now it wont start

i have a spark. fuel pressure is ok. if i take off the pipes to the carbs and turn her over petrol sprays all over the road. if i spray fuel thru the carbs with a garden sprayer she runs.

just no life when trying to run with the carbs alone.

i know a few of you that have 410's are probably running hif38's. have any of you had this problem?

its as if moving or turning them upside down has caused a problem in the carbs but ive had them off before with no problems.

blocked jets or sticking floats maybe?

after i posted i checked floats. both ok. i cant see how removing the inlet manifold and putting it back on could cause a blockage but its looking like the next port of call!

i seems to only run under £1 service conditions (hands over air intake) Which would suggest serious under fueling!
