What is the need for rear springs on the front, what does this do??? and why are the astra shocks on the front and land rover/transit shocks on the rear any different to standard sj shocks??

if you look at the shocks on your suzuki you'll see that the are differet fittements on the front and rear. The rear ones have an eye at each end and the fronts have an eye at the bottom and pin at the top. Astra shocks only bolt straight on to the front because of this and you need to make an adapter bar if you want to use them on the rear.

As for the springs, rascals on the rear and ruf (rears up front) will give you a bit around 1.5" lift and move the front axle forwards a bit so you can fit bigger tyres

Some also say that the astra shocks can be a little light too.
