Power steering pipes and pressure.

I have a full set of jimny pipes but they are all pre formed and dont run where i want them too.

The pipes to and from the reservoir are lower pressure and just use spring clips to hold them. No problems swapping them for runner pipe.

The pipe pump to steering box is much heavier duty and has the machine fitted pipe joints. Not sure how much pressure is in it. Can i cut the banjo ends off and just run a new rubber pipe between them jubilee clipped on? Will the clips take the pressure?

No they won't hold, that's why they have high pressure fittings ;)

How did we all form our pipes to fit?

I used vitara lines, the high pressure side has a hard line that has a union so I cut it down to the length i needed and used our brake line flaring tool to make a new flare on the end for the union

Is there no way to route the jimny pipes as they are?

The high pressure pipe is all at the wrong angle to fit onto the pump.

I'm juggling having the rad in the right place so it doesn't foul the bonnet or fan at the same time trying to route the pipes inthe right area.

I have one copper pipe that came with the vit parts. It will go onto the pump with minimal fuss.

Do i then cut the banjo off the end of the Jimny pipes and flare them and join them with a union?

I snapped mine trying to fit them and welded it back together at the correct length. Lots of effort and hard to weld with no pin holes.

mine are angled in my winch tray but if and when i get a winch im going to southcoast hydraulics down the road from me and getting them to make me a custom set :D
