Bear in mind, this all happened on the street I walk down to go to the gym.

I would've been there today at roughly the time this happened if I hadn't decided to pig out on peanuts and chocolate for the first time since I started my crusade to get thin.

From what I can tell, these two madmen got into a car crash, the cadet went to help, and they murdered him.

He was a Cadet. He couldn't have been much older than Ollie.

Then one of them stands over his dead body with a machete, and apparently starts saying something about being sorry for having to murder someone in front of women...?

I'm sure a clearer picture will emerge soon enough, but I'm about 30% freaked out right now. I was *there* at 11:58 this morning (so runkeeper says). 2 hours and 20 minutes later...

Today I thought I was having a *REALLY* crap day. Now I realise that I've had a freakin' fantastic day.

God, that poor cadet. No-one deserves that.

What the hell? That's pretty crazy!

When I was at uni in Swansea I tried to walk home one day and found that the street was closed off. I walked round to a different street behind my house and found that it was also closed meaning I couldn't get home without another massive detour. Both were independent, unrelated stabbings. One was random and one wasn't but both happened within a very short space of time from each other on parallel streets about 100ft apart!

Stay offroad where there's no crazy people!

Seems they were Muslims who specifically went looking for a soldier to murder in "revenge" for Muslims killed in the middle east by British forces.

The Woolwich barracks are at the top of the road that kid was killed in.

Not gonna make this political or religious.

Congrats on still being alive though Anton.

My/our thoughts go out to the poor lad and his family. It's just senseless violence against an innocent victim.
