temp gauge not working

hello has anybody got any ider how to fix the temp gauge on my sj410 i get heat in the cab but gauge does not move even when i leave it for ages hose top and bottom get hot as well thankyou

hi, disconnect the temperture sensor on the engine and earth out the wire, turn the ignition on and the gauge should go to hot position. if it does then its the sensor thats knackered. if it doesn't its either an open circuit wire between the sensor and the gauge, a bad connection on the dashboard, try giving it a wiggle, or the gauge.
if your fuel gauge works can't be problem with feed as uses same feed.
