smallest workshop?
smallest workshop?
hey guys,
ive got another one of my curiosity questions. just wondering what the smallest space people have used as a workshop? up till now ive had a fair size garage to work in but ive kinda been pushed out after its been filled up with other peoples clutter. so ive retreated to a small shed, its not very big but it will be just mine which is the main thing.
so what sort of things have people done to make a small space practical as a work environment? il try get some pictures up of mine when ive tidied it up a bit.
thanks guys
joe

Re: smallest workshop?
well were i live it used to be a chicken farm and very small scale so 2 of the out buildings were knocked down instantly and we kept the other two mainly due to aspestos. So i work out side on a slab of concrete. or just inside the half fallen down barn that the sj sleeps in.

lol, i guess im not as hard done by as i think i am then. and your right dan, a lot of work is done outside anyway, i think i remember seeing your rebuild, very hardcore! i
so here is what ive done this morning, this is what it looked like before...
then clean
then i moved in...
i had to put a few more seats in there since i took the last picture so it already isnt as tidy. id like to rent a propper workshop but i know that gets pricey.
now im looking on the internet for good storage solutions as im gunu accumulate lots more stuff when i start my new project and the last thing i want is it to get messy again! theres quite a lot of shelf storage bins and stuff one the market but im looking for something a little different, lol.

That's shed is alright as long as ur tools and parts are dry that's the main thin
I had to help my dad fit a workbench in his shed so I said can I have the space below and that's where most of my spares is but I then expanded and took over 75% of the bench
Plus I need more room
2 sets if tyres
2 engines
2 gearboxes
Set of axles
T box
Rear seats
Set of props
And loads more
Plus I have a garage

Re: smallest workshop?
i have a workshop/gardenroom which i keep the parts that need to be kept "dry" like seats, interior trim etc. I then have a double garage sj lives in the front and the car trailer in the back in this garage i do greasy mechanical things etc and fab stuff up as i have my metal working tools in it grinders compressor etc . I then have a unit to do painting and spraying in! but i share that with my dads mate
oh and the best thing is my roll cab lives in the dining room at home! but all you need mainly is power and lighting! is a 100%must!

Mega jealous! Lol. Im lookinh at renting somewhere to keep stuff but somewhere with power and lighting would be way out of the question.
