I often read of people moving the front axle forward an inch when doing a change of springs? Some kits (TT for example) have spring plates with holes pre drilled for moving the axle.
Does this not affect the steering in some way or other? Do you have to re-mount the steering box or similar? Just what is involved?
Thanks,
Geoff

Re: Moving Axle Forward - info please?
Hi Geoff, if you want to move the axle forward, you dont have to redrill - its only necessary if you dont want the axle to move- ie on the back as it fouls the petrol tank - the steering is not affected by moving an inch or so forward.Cyprus Geoff wrote:I often read of people moving the front axle forward an inch when doing a change of springs?
