33s Whoo Hoo!!!! They've ARRIVED!!!

Post by Jordi » Wed Apr 17, 2013 10:17 pm

Ok, i'm jumping the gun. Haven't ordered them yet but on the way home from billing the wife agreed i can buy them.

So its four GT Radial MTs (cheap and i don't fancy 300miles on Insa special tracks). Also the cheapest place to buy them is at Leeming Bar near me. Free delivery too.

Hopefully it'll be done at the weekend!

27, its all in my profile.

31s were fine on my knackered old springs. So the 1.5" lift should be ample for 33s.

Possibly move the front axle forward an inch.

Nice one Jordi!

I assume you have a set of knobblies for off roading?

Can't wait to see pics of the SJ on 33's...mental, love it.
If it ticks over...leave it

SPOA? Too much like hard work and it would be about 7' tall! Virtual lift, chopped bulkhead back 4" approx and 1.5" lift springs.

The tyres i'm getting are MTs. Keep the 31s for when i'm just using it for work.

I've heard over all good reviews for them. I'm wanting to do more laning and too severe a tread is a pain in the arse for road miles.

The 31" ATs on it perform really well, got in and out of places LRs on special tracks struggled in the past.

Find out soon enough.

You'll need to move the axle forward or chop the bulkhead. Even on lifted springs when it articulates they'll fould the bulkhead.

When you fit the springs move the axle 25mm forward and bash the bulkhead seams flat. Might just be enough.
