1300 sump

Post by duncslow » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:25 pm

Hi folks, another question. does the baffle plate in the sump actually do anything? Ive had to remove half of it to get the sump to fit my 1.6 vit engine

I think they fit them to stop the oil pickup line from running dry when you're at funny angles offroading.

Yeah. Stops all the oil from splashing up the sides and letting air up the pickup.

Thats why people normally mod the 1300 pickup to fit the 1600 block.
