Suzuki Samurai Brochure ~1991

Post by Tramp » Mon Jul 18, 2011 9:05 pm

right I have a few 410 brochures but I wanted one more to date with my SJ (late 92) so I ordered this off ebay, It details the samurai range in uk around 1991, I'd love to find a brochure with a samurai in with the same decals as mine, but I think they did full model range brochures after this rather than model specific brochures, I'll keep my eye out though and I hope you enjoy

I've had to resize all of these, so if any one wants the originals I can send the full resolution version

Its that "more space, more comfort" that confused me. More space is a definate. Comfort? Did it have coils? Leather interior? Air con? Cruise control?

Comfort and Samurai are two words never to be mixed. Like reliability and Land Rover.
1988 Samurai - Truck Cab & Tray Back - 1.6 8v & HIF44 - Snorkel - Stack Exhaust - PAS, YJs & 33s - Trussed, Gusseted & Pumpkin Capped Axles - 4.3 R&Ps - 4.16 T/Box - Rear Air Locker - Full Float Back Axle & Discs - RCV Front Shafts - X-Eng Handbrake - Custom Fuel Tank

My dear, Samurai has:
- seats
- steering wheel
- cigar lighter and ash tray
- windows that can stay open or closed
- 2 outside mirrors
- a confortable handle for the front passenger
- a moving SPA during rainy winters, xpecially if you have a cabrio one

Isn't it full optional?
:hahaha:

Hi Tramp , thanx for your recent advice on Helens samurai .
would you have the original design laden weights of a sj413 qbx soft top
Including Axle 1 axle 2 Gross Train and Towable Mass please ? It seems that might be on the last page of the brochure but the size goes blurry when I enlarge it ?
I will explain in due course , but as with most things on this truck its becoming a bit of a nightmare .
Thanx Ian and Helen

Oh the Rhino Club...and the Rhino Rally was close to the highlight of each year back in the late 80s and early 90s. Massive UK gathering plus visitors from France, Belgium, Germany and of course the big cruise from Holland....those boys were nuts

Happy days...good to see the old brochures...thanks for posting it

I went to the Rhino rally at Tong a few times in the 00s. I bought my Vit in time for the 2000 rally but if I remember correctly it was cancelled due to foot and mouth.
2006 Jimny JLX+ 1.3 VVT
2000 Vitara 4u2 - Calmini 3+3, 33" MTs, 5:83 R&Ps, winch bumper, remapped ECU.

1984 Suzuki SJ410 - Blitz

They were near Salisbury on tank training territory when I used to go...fantastic weekend. Show for everyone...show and shine, general course to follow that was fairly tame with a few interesting bits and the odd mad hill to climb on descend and then a trials organised by the All Wheel Drive Club. If I remember correctly it was free as well..!!..
