My SJ was ripped off and burnt in Midsomer Norton and boy was I gutted... I've looked for a replacement but finding nothing to suit I'm afraid that I've gone to the dark side. Gents (and ladies), I bought a Sportrak. Sorta like an SJ but with a larger engine and a few more toys although with none of the romance. The other half likes it because of the resin top and it's not so suicidal on the motorway (have to say that it was a novelty going at more than 45 mph on the way home) . But it's not an SJ.... sniff
Anyway, hopefully one day I'll replace my zook for old times sake. Meanwhile I want to say that I couldn't have got my old old anus back together without the members of this forum. Thanks for everything and see you soon.
All the best
Rich Riley

Hello hello. Three years later and I'm back with a most excellent 1986 Japanese SJ. Beautiful example restored to excellent condition. Pics shortly. And guess what? It's safely alarmed and in my garage... A happy end to this tale!

Wow, normally thread revivals can be a bit lame but this one is AWESOME!
Glad you have another SJ! As for the Sportrak, it could have been worse, you could have bought a land rover
Welcome back!!!
