Nice one Robbie

Before it got popular it was originally called "The GIMP" nowadays just GIMP.

I'm running Linux and can use the very latest version which is a lot better than the current windows version but I'm sure you guys will still do well with whatever version is available for wincrash atm.

Linux. Check you and your penguin out!

That is the best o/s system going. I want to run my next pc on it. I'd also like to go home now. So far the pubs have made far too much £££ out of me.

Yeah was running it dual boot alongside windows for a few years. Linux Mint 12 for Media and then Windows XP for the Mrs to use for Word etc.

Took the full plunge about 9 months ago and totally wiped Windows from the system and upgraded to Linux Mint 14 with WINE so I can still run the occasional windows app if need be.

The only time I've had to use WINE was to recover some designs I had made in Flash and save them as images to use in GIMP.

Might swap to Ubuntu soon as it is more frequently updated but like the Mint Cinnamon UI.

I've only ever dabbled with linux. Ran a dual boot system years ago. Great thing with linux was it would read all MS office documents. But when you wanted to view the same doc on windows only PCs it was a no no. Don't know if thats changed.

The linux programmes are just better, you can do so much more with them.

Yeah best thing about Linux stuff just works.

No need for any additional software as most functionality is built in.

Most stuff is now fully cross compatable.

Give Linux Mint a try when you get a chance. Its superb.

Anyway back to signature images...... No sign of Jay or Dazerede since they went to download GIMP this morning.

They are probably just finishing the never ending list of youtube tutorials now!
