Not been on here much...Been busy :o)

Post by Newtomud » Mon Jan 14, 2013 11:08 pm

Like the title says I've not had much time to get on here because I now have the SJ to work on and a new project as well :o)
Also sick of working on my drive in the freezing cold raining snowing miserable weather so have rented a workshop..

A man after my own heart...and I always thought it was only me with a weird split personality.

SJs are just awesome..fantastic all round motors but I always want to raise them. Currently got an '88 413 pretty much stock so it needs to go higher...

Then VWs...just have to be slammed!! My son and I are well in to it. We have a rat '64 Type 34 - right hand drive that looks like its on air but its not!! My son has a fully restored narrowed and slammed '67 Bug and just sold a '56 split. Google DTA and you will find the cars belonging to Mike and me..think my red sports car is on the site too...must have a look myself

Have you restored VWs before? Whats the plan of action for this one?

Paul

Mrs Newtomud thanks you all for the best wishes.
As for the VW it's my first attempt at restoring one so I'm going to keep it simple.. The plans are so far to fit a full width rock and roll bed, a big tv fitted to an electric lift, a fridge for a few beers, a sound system, and a subaru engine.
