Hard to tell what that is...might be the oil pressure switch?

Re: Garage flooded!!!
Dont know what they are exactly but some kind of vaccum for the old carb.
Anyway I know you need to blank them. Just put the hoses onto each other or put a screw down the hose.
As long as nothing can get in or out it will be fine.

I have been searching the web for the webber carb info, it seems as though the one that most of you have posted about, is different to mine! I'm going to see if I can change it over tomorrow, will I still be able to use the gaskets or will I have to get some new ones? If not does any one have an SU carb with adaptor that I can buy or maybe swap either way?
Thanks

Re: Garage flooded!!!
gaskets will be alright if they've only been fitted for a bit and engine not used in anger. Just remove it carefully.
Would just stick with what you have now as its going to be your quickest easiest route to getting it running.

Re: Garage flooded!!!
Im an SU convert. I know those pipes are vac advance and mine are just blocked off. I know when i converted my SJ carb to a daishitsu carb it didnt have enough pipes so the SJ vac advnces got blocked off too. That still runs fine.
Sorry about the garage. Never makes life easier when stuff like that happens.

I think you might be right dan, the sooner I get it running the sooner I can move on to the seats then get it taxed and tested! Are you over this way any time soon?

Re: Garage flooded!!!
You don't need either of those valves with a weber. One was part of the auto-choke and the other part of the idle-up system.
