Give me a minute i'll go get some photo's mine, i went through the bulk head.
I found the top on the back of an old washing machine, it had a u-bend on the end with a flange thing on (no idea what it was for). The pipe connecting to it is off a boat bilge pump i think and the stainless pipe under the bonnet is an old boat exhaust. I planned to go off the warm air feed straight to the bulk head and then over but as said by scottie it was going to mean running the pipe inside around the pedals and steering column (cant get behind it). Was pretty simple, 90 degree bend off the air box, one on the end of the stainless facing towards the wing, Then one on the end of the snorkel with a bit of the same rubber pipe in-between. Silicone and cable tied! job jobbed! I think it looks a lot tidier this way and less likely to be ripped off.
I never took my smaller lens down so i couldn't get it far away enough to focus under the dash
Not sure how you would do it still being able to put the screen down, unless you jubilee clip the bottom of the snorkel so you an undo it and pull it off. to fasten it to the screen i just self tapered a jubilee clip into the aerial hole and slid the pipe through it.
I need to make something up to stop it scooping water in, thinking of making a gortex cover? or something a long them lines.
