Its the same whether its a 1.3 or a 1.6 just an extra bolt on the pulley. Too used to working on the 1.6's now
A gentle love tap wont do the pulley any harm.
shouldn't be hard at all to get it off though

Give it a gentle tap working around it and it should come off.
DO NOT ever remove the big bolt on the crank of a 1.3 or 1.6 unless you are rebuilding the engine, there is no need and if you don't get it tight enough again there's a chance of wrecking the keyway if it comes loose.

Could always do what some one did on my old engine, cut the timing cover either side of the pulley so you dont have to take it off
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Be very careful of the metal gasket at the bottom of the water pump, I sliced my finger open scraping off old gasket on it. It's nasty.
If it ticks over...leave it

Digging up old post hahahahaha
Now because of where this water pump is I don’t want to be in there again any time soon
Brands of water pump some are as low as £25 and others £40+
All as good as one another ?
Any favourites that you use a link would be fab.
