Right then, those pics I posted said passenger side on a USA model so I assumed that was the drivers side in the UK, Wrong
As I can now tell the seats are swapped around as well as the steering wheel :D
So been and had a look at the drivers side rails on mine and there the same as yours (well not broke :D )
Seem a bit rubbish as they are only locked on the one side. There appears to be just one spring (torsion rod) to keep the locking arm in place.
I assume the passenger side is far more complex due to the lever letting the seat fold and slide forward to allow passengers in the back.
Just the one crappy photo taken under the seat so a bit naff...

Good to meet you Donkeychomp

Thanks for the seat runners, different to mine but I will have a fiddle and see if I can adapt them to fit my seat :)

I bought some Spanish 410 runners to go in but they were different they had a handle to raise the seat or something - weird but totally incompatible!

I have to admit I'm just amazed how many variations of seat runners there are! Hardly anything on these SJs seems standardised

Thanks for the pics Darrell and Tramp, Yes they are the same as mine! But now Ive got something different to play with! Post pics soon :)

Right then, update Had a rummage around under the rear seats and found that Torsion wire!

I thought that had fallen off the base of the seat somewhere :(
The seat runners I picked up from Donkeychomp are a different set up all together. On the Spanish built SJs the rear bracket is actually already welded and part of the Bodywork.
On the seat runners I picked up the rear bracket is attached to the seat runners and then you bolt that to the floor pan. Also the adjuster lever moves up and down, where as on the Spanish built SJs its a twisting motion with that thin wire holding the seat in place :(

Going to have to do some head scratching to see if I can make the later ones fit, but it may raise the seat in order to get the adjuster working!
