Post by carnut » Fri May 08, 2009 8:52 pm

Well i started the suspension mods this week, ive 2" RUF with drop shackles, ive made up some shock towers just for this weekend unless i can get some long shocks tommorow.
ive made 2" lowering blocks for the bump stops. rears are rascal rear springs with banana
shackles. ive made up new subframes for the bucket seats with 3 point belts. running a 410 transfer box, ive got a full external cage to go on,
any-one any ideals (pics) for a front bumper. next on the list is to make up lift blocks for the body lift. also suggestions please for a snorkel.
cheers; andy

How did you make your drop shackles? have you tested them on road yet? you have the exact same suspension as me,

Yes all home made. All it is, is a piece of box section, cut at the ends to form a thinner end. Then the tube is bent and welded on.

It is attached via the original bull bar holes in the chassis.

A few more pics before i altered the mounts due to the body lift....

Get it as far back as you can. I would ditch the fan, move the rad back and then fit electric fan.

Cut the grille, and get the winch sitting right back on the chassis rails.
