had a good day today!

Post by andyrew » Tue Nov 20, 2012 10:48 pm

was called over by the store man in my work today, said there was a guy looking for the owner of the
sj in the carpark..

popped out to meet the nice chap who apperently passes me every morning on my way to work.

goes over to his car and gets out a long bit of plastic!?

turns out to be a Bug shield from america for a samurai  that the gent got his mate to bring over as hand luggage quite a few years ago for his SJ he used to take to shows. said he used to be into LJs and SJs years ago and used to do them up and show them.

then he asked if id want an 1.3 engine, 50k miles removed from his wifes sami years ago and kept in the garage since. and a set of 8j offset weller rims.

bug shield and engine free, wellers £20 the set

ill keep the engine as a spare untill ive got the yellow sami tested with its current engine. and if thats all good, ill sell the engine and donate the money to charity.

i now have 4 sets of rims :hahaha:

ill bung some pics of the bug shield up soon.

to be honest its pretty tacky, like alot of "acessories" but i recon on a sumers day on the soft top, maybe it`ll look tacky cool.
and possibly the only one over here?

it has a kind of sj-with-a-mono-brow-chic to it

and i do love my retro-ness

(confessed brown sami interior lover here  )
