Isn't the one you have photographed a 20 to 45 amp unit? Isn't that what the label says?

Or am I reading it wrong?

No that's exactly what it says. I've never seen one like it. To be honest I may see if that volvo one fits. If not maybe a vit one if I can change the pulley over

Yeah just working out what I'm running. Not forgetting stuff like ignition cd player heater wipers etc. I'm probably better of with something with more oomph! I'll have a look about an maybe some fabrication will be in order :weld:

Just ordered up some heavy duty battery cables to cope with the bigger alternator so this Saturday it'll hopefully get done and I'll be ready of anything! Oh and my fast back roof has arrived! But according to the missus I'm not allowed it till my birthday next month

Had a look at the volvo alternator today... :argh: way too big.

But I got one from a 200tdi disco to try, but it'll need a refurb to get it running at full whack if it does fit.

Got a bigger problem tho, the company I work for just went into liquidation. So now I'm outta the job.

Had one interview so far and got a couple job offers so far, so should be back on my feet soon.

On a lighter note... a suzuki roof shaped package has just arrived in the post!

Sorry to hear about the job bud, but congrats on the roof shaped parcel. Wonder what it is?

You'll have to let us all know what alternator you go for. I've been planning that transit conversion for 2 years now.

Yeah I looked at your difflock post mate. Looks like a cracking way to do it. That 200tdi one looks about the right size, I just have to figure out the wiring out. Which I'm not overly good at lol. I have to wait till December 5th for my new roof but there will be pics.

Speaking if pics. Look at the bodge someone done on the alternator in my zuke! :hahaha:
