Dan_2k_uk's New Camera Obsession

Post by dan_2k_uk » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:36 pm

As there was a bit of interest I thought I would stick up some more photos from the night shoot and some others I have taken as well.

Took A Few before it got dark on the day of the night shoot.

Temporary trail fix for a lost filler cap on Trotters Sammy

So.... This is with the camera set to automatic (flash off) trying to do its best (gives an idea of actual darkness)

Then with the flash on (still not much better)

Image

Then Playing on manual trying to get some moonlit shots

All worked up to the the original shot I posted before (and some very cold hands!!!) :D

Then as a few among us ride or appreciate riding I thought I would share some Downhill MTB shots from today. (I'm the hooligan on the Green 224 BTW)

Oh and here's one of my pub bike :hahaha:

Enjoy!

Gotta get out and get some better night shots soon. Damn moon was too bright the other day and overpowered the stars a bit. Not to mention the light pollution problem!!

Thats a pretty nice shot.

The final shot was 30secs, iso200, f3.5

Try to ignore what the metering on the camera is trying to tell you and deliberately setup so the camera says the shot will be over exposed.

Nice shots Dan, you'll have to come down the trails next year when it's dry enough to ride again and get some bmx shots and bring your jump bike so you can have a go through our trails. I need a dslr used to always borrow one off a friend, will have to dig out some of my fav pics

Yeah man. Seem to remember a shot of you that has been layered 360ing over a funbox. Want to do something similar with that drop off from my last 2 shots but there's a catch 22 "need the winter to get rid of the undergrowth but need the summer to get bright light for quick enough shutter times for the camera" (or a nice beefy remote flash gun!) Must..... avoid..... ebay!

Went out for another night session. Couldn't get far enough away from the light pollution on a quick work night bike ride so decided to embrace it.

Really pleased with this one.

There were a few more we took on my mates camera after when I couldn't be bothered to get mine back out so will stick them up when I get a chance if anyone's interested in seeing me playing a fly tipped piano on a country lane
