samurai fitted standard with 1.9 TD?

Post by Jay18 » Tue Oct 09, 2012 7:20 pm

so i was looking at wind deflectors on ebay and found a place selling them for a samurai 95 - 98
but apparently not correct for sj410 1987, i thought all SJ's and sammy's have the same shape dorrs?

anyway it says they fit the samurai 1.9TD, im pretty sure they dont make a samurai 1.9 TD, the TD is just a conversion right?

i would love to get a TD samurai, really want a LWB aswel..

my guess would be that these samurai's with the newer shape front grill are the 1.9 TDI's then..

Has anyone got (or seen) a picture of the engine bay of a standard 1.9 diesel I think it might be interesting and hopefully helpful for tidying my engine bay.

Thanks that's an interesting read. Think my 1.5td conversion is tidier than a standard 1.9xud sj.
And at only 62hp and 0-60 of 20+ sec mine's probably quicker too @ 67hp. Not timed my 0-60 tho, its difficult on 31" tyres the Speedo is way out.
