Starter moter wiring

Post by lazy rambler » Wed Sep 26, 2012 3:57 pm

In the process of hooking up the wires now my 1.6 is in & the tags I put on the wires have worn off.
Anyone know what wires go where on the starter (pics would be best)?

The battery +ve cable goes to the big terminal on the solenoid, the one furthest from the motor.
The battery -ve cable goes to one of the bolts that holds the starter onto the gearbox
There will be another connecting wire between the other big terminal on the solenoid that goes into the motor body.
Then there is just 1 small wire that goes onto the tiny terminal on the solenoid.
