A days tinkering

Post by dantheman6106 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 7:52 pm

I spent today just going over the truck tidying up a few bits and pieces , mainly electrical odds and ends drive it on the road from my unit to the Workshop and my god is that thing wild above 25mph I thought my old SJ was a bad ride but this is another level !

I also had a slow puncture and the tyres took two of us to lift off the machine and two to get it back on the rim they are seriously heavy

I got a few more bits to sort out before my first outing next month !

Had a good day today on the truck replace brake pads all round which was a bit of a nightmare as the truck is made up out of so many different bits, turns out it has Mk 1 trooper rear calipers and Toyota Hilux front calipers but it now has all new pads and a decent handbrake, only problem was we snapped a wheel stud when getting one wheel off so now got to try and locate what hubs it has got
