Re: justaddmud's kja build (code named MK5)
Finally finished the bumper, winch and wiring, and it all works
got a nice big toggle on the dashboard for my use internally, and a wireless remote for all other features
also had a plan with my MK1 golf indicators, partitioned off a small bit and fitted a 26 SMD led into the side, looks great, nice a bright, and winkers look good too
tried an action shot but the iphone is pretty useless (at lots of things, cant wait to get shot)
itching to use it now, see what i can do

Re: justaddmud's kja build (code named MK5)
Bit of an update, had a bit of an offroad adventure, weekend, 2 nights camping in torential rain, 2 offroad sites, and all i got was 2 pictures
first is of me using my winch for the first time, and it performed brilliantly, even rescued 4 LR 110's over the weekend.
and this was from site 2, just before i called it a day and went home
had a cut out problem on the way home, think there is some crap in the fuel, time to change the filters
until next time

WOW
I can't believe there has been no update since april last year, very naughty of me.
well, as it happens, other than a change of rear lights (destroyed one on a seemingly easy puch in a club competition last year) nothing has changed, used it a lot, fitted a new stereo, drove it a bit more, now however a few things need to happen, will get some pics of what tomorrow but in the mean time, here is a poser shot, and a picture of my new rims (ignore the tyres)
actually as it goes, how can i tell the width of the rims without measuring them, was told they were 10" and if that is the case, may be a bit to wide for the planned 235/75's going on
anyway, can you say Bling
and the poser shot, snow, green lane and an SJ what more could you ask for (a working heater would have been nice as it goes)
ciao for now

go back a page mate, all there from scratch
no real plans, just loose measurements to get everything cut and a good friend who is a great welder and fabricator
