working on a farm in Cornwall this morning and i looked in and seen a 4x4 in some brables with loads of crap next to it looked like an suzuki lj but it is an daihatsu it was rusted as f-ck

It's a Daihatsu F50, An early Fourtrack also known as a Taft

They are from the same era as the LJ :thumbup: and equally as rare. If it's salvageable it could be worth a bit restored.

1stly the chap wouldnt sell it because he is one of them chaps that collects everything and wont sell a thing

It looks like part of the hedge! Shame he wouldn't part with it, probably a good base for a restoration & getting rare now!

They did an article comparing the diahatsu to the LJ in the Suzuki gold portfolio, they both did well,

Me and a mate turned one into a racer, started off with a Pinto with twin 45s on it and eventually ended up with a 2.8 V6. The V6 was a bit much really.
