clifford alarm help please

My samurai has a clifford alarm on but has no fob

now the thing is im after security but should i
*get a fob and get it programed
*rip it all out and replace
*rip it out and use other security eg pedal box.

i dont know if its worth having the alarm on a off/on road vehicle, could it potentially cause more problems than its worth or are they pretty good alarm

any input is appreciated thanks you

I don't know much about clifford alarms but mine came fitted with a gemini alarm system, It used to set itself off all the time and stranded me in a car park once, SO i ripped it out, It was pretty simple when it came out and the only immobilising it did was through a relay in line with ignition barrel, which I simple connected back together. Now I use a Disklock on my steering wheel instead

Clifford alarms r crap, they drain the battery so much, if you havent ripped it out yet,then do so.

dont use alarms , i either wrap a chain lock like and oxford one around my pedals and through the steering wheel

I was thinking about fitting a racing quick release steering wheel to my truck as security, but decided that the smaller wheel would make it a bugger to turn. One thing I do is leave the T-box in neutral in car parks, as some oiks these days probably wouldn't realise why there was no drive.....if they managed to get her to start in the first place.

I was planning on doing that to mine! One for the front axle, one for the rear. I've got the centre drum handbrake on my t-case, so it seemed logical, if I'm adding an "extra layer of protection" to add linelocks to the calipers. Hiding the controls of them seems like a great way to prevent the car going walkies. Individual linelocks could make great fiddle brakes, though...
