Drain Plug
Hi, when fitting power steering on my SJ I seem to have misplaced the radiator drain plug I was wondering if anyone knows of a bolt size that I could use temporarily as I am meant to be taking part in a trial on Sunday and the Suzuki dealers near me cant get one until Monday as it needs to be shipped over from Germany,
Cheers,
Dan

Re: Drain Plug
I've bodged it temporarily with a bolt and some PTFEtape before, there are a few different sizes though so I could tell you one size and it could be wrong.

Why has everything got to be shipped over from Germany
Re: Drain Plug
Suzuki have one of their largest parts warehouses for Europe there I think.

Re: Drain Plug
Hi, thanks for all the replies, I am in Bishop's Stortford on the Herts/Essex border, I have used the idea of the bolt with some PTFE Tape and it seems to be working a treat so hopefully that will see me through the weekend until I get the new plug next week at a cost of £6 including VAT,

Re: Drain Plug
Cool, its a bit of a trail repair but it works, I would check on it every so often though, mine was in for weeks but I did check on it quite often just to make sure it hadn't started leaking.dcallaghan2011 wrote:Hi, thanks for all the replies, I am in Bishop's Stortford on the Herts/Essex border, I have used the idea of the bolt with some PTFE Tape and it seems to be working a treat so hopefully that will see me through the weekend until I get the new plug next week at a cost of £6 including VAT,

Re: Drain Plug
Got the drain plug today from Suzuki so I thought I would put up the part number incase anyone ever needed it, however i'm not sure if it will fit all of the 1.3 litres as mine is a Japanese model not one of the ones unfortunate enough to be made in the Landrover factory in Spain Anyway the part number is below.
Part No. 17751-72010
