- as you can see from this photo we got some big box section to weld in place of the old round member to also act as a tow point and grounds to start the rear roll cage

Re: zuk sj build from scratch.....09
thanks for that chap, still got lots more to do yet, just made up the brackets to hold the vitara power steering pump today and in order for that to fit we have had to cut the shaft which holds the steering wheel down about 1 and a half inches, got that on now and now we have just got the double pulley for the crank to take the power belt and fan belt, but we had to re drill the holes as the standard 1.3 v-groove pulley has 4 holes where as the double pulley has 5 but all off set...and also that the pump that bolts on the engine with the pipe is about 2inches 2 big,so now we have cut a small section out of the chassis then reinforced it to get round that problem....will post photos of that soon....no for a chill out as off up to the indoor 4x4 show at donnington on sunday...great early morning start.lol

hi all again, well back now with more photos with my rebiuld and info in to what we are doing
as you will see we are at the mo doing a power steering convertion with a vitara pump,box...and moving the pump to a diff location on the engine to save from cutting the chassis or the likes, also how to keep the original pulleys and still use the double pulley for the steering.....

- this is where we started to make the brackets to hold the pump,as you can see we needed to add a plate to angle the pump straight as if we bolted it to the chassis the pump would be fitted in an angle, also we would not of been able to bolt it as the holes where not in the right place, hense y one bolt is welded to the chassis..
