europe debate

Post by jfatboy » Wed Oct 26, 2011 5:40 pm

anyone got any views on the eu debate?

im a strong tory, believe as a country we would be better off without the eu, currently spending all our cash on bailing everyone else out, and it would revive our struggling fishing industry.

I'm also glad we aren't really part of Europe and the Euro. I just think our currency would be worth less and we would have suffered financially much more than we have done.

I wouldn't say I'm a tory... I have mixed views so to me they're all just as bad as each other!
I did vote tory last election though just so Brown wouldn't get back in!

thing is we are still paying fist fulls of our money to other countrys bailing them out, were in bad and deep enough as it is.

although its been tough i think the tories are doing a better job, its the late 80s all over again. short sighted people dont see that it has to be done.

I don't think we will ever leave they EU unfortunately. Brussells probably wont let us leave anyway, since there the ones calling all the shots and making all our new laws. From what i can see its just a massive waste of money, where we get very little in return and the French get what ever they want because they moan alot.

There probably are some good sides, but i don't know what they are.

(and thank fuck we never joined the euro, or we would be evan more screwed than we are now)

were one of the stongest economies aswell, they will never let us go, greece they would happily let go i imagine.
and yes thank god we didnt go for the euro, what a load of crap.

hate that they are making our laws, weve lost cars like the civic type r and the rx8 because of their emissions and efficiency laws.
and because we are members the spanish keep coming into our waters and stealing our fish!

suprised the french got so involved in libya, usually sit with their white flags over the hill cowering.

Yes it is the 80's all over again let's just hope the Tories don't get the chance to damage UK industry like Maggie thatcher did (talking of short sighted people) we wouldn't be in this mess now if we actually had some products to export! But what happened to our thriving industrys? Privatized and sold off - to foreign investors! We see non of the profits from these big companys, look at other eu countries like Germany and france, the government backed and funded industrys when they were struggling, now they both have multimillion pound car industrys, France has a large multinational electricity company (eff) and Germany has technically advanced multinational automation companys (siemens - and if you think about it seimens stuff gets everywhere)

I know labour hasn't been fantastic but I'm certain we would have been far worse off with a conservative government,

as long as you keep it friendly its all god :smokin:

i agree theres nothing left in the uk to export except farming goods, and no one wants them either, jaguar landrover ford is the only real large asset left and they are struggling, the decline of british leyland was one of our downfalls.

steel and coal is also massively on the decline here aswell. the m4 corridor is the only thing left.

id love it for a government to actually stick its neck out and say enough with the racist bollocks, for too long we are restricted for living in our own country. stuff like saying seasons greetings instead of happy christmas incase we offend, f**k off.
