SCUK Weekender 2012
SCUK Weekender 2012
All due respect to all of the long term, hard core members of this forum.
I'm a newbie on here I know but.....
I've been reading the posts on SCUK Weekender 2011 with great interest but there seems to be a million ideas and no decisions, it's the end of september and no bookings have been made. I for one would like to have an events co-ordinator appointed to gather all points of view and make decisions based on the input from the members..
And in 2012 we could be offroading at SCUK events

I vote NTM as the organiser! Thanks for volunteering.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: SCUK Weekender 2012
I think the idea of having a weekender this year did kind of go out the window. To be fair it's been a busy year for us with Twiss and I taking over the website and redesigning it etc. As well as me concentrating my time on the SJ rebuild (+ the fact there wasn't really a proper plan to have one at the beginning of this year) but if people are up for it as I mentioned at the end of the 2011 thread I'd be up for a load of us meeting up at a pay and play day somewhere for a day during the winter?
But that can be sorted in a different thread to this one
However I will start organising 2012s weekender now so it definitely happens!
Dunk I think a Kirton weekender will have to be done but as a separate meet I think it would be good to have a weekender where we hire the site out for ourselves though that is not as far away from us member in the south and it was a good laugh last time we did it.

Someone should learn to design and configure websites faster.... if only they had asked me for help 'eh?

Re: SCUK Weekender 2012
Yeah think it was a bit of wishfull thinking when I created the 2011 event thread.
The last one was so much fun though so I had to put it out there.
Lets try be a bit more organised/road legal and get this one to be a beauty.
Regarding traveling distances.
Theres always someone else driving all/part/most of everyones routed so just need to organise to meet up and convoy.
Personally I dont mind a good road trip and theres plenty of us from down south to meet up and go together if we need to.
